There's so many details you can hear with these that's you'll never notice on other headphones. Bring big power, on the smsl h400/d400es i'm at 80% volume for safe listening in medium gain. .
No better value on the planet than these. I've had the he1000 unveiled and susvara unveiled, and use a pair of the he6se v2 as a daily driver. Don't get the v1 you see as a choice if you have a large head. The ski style headband is a smaller fit than the v2. 3 watts at 32 ohm and a 5 volt dac are the minimum, and much much more if you want to equalize them.
Original product in original packaging. Great feel, great sound. The only thing is that the included cable could have been longer for me. Still, I highly recommend it - at this price, IMHO, it's a no-brainer.

Totl sounding headphones for the price of mid-fi. Trades blows with arya se. Needs more than 2w at 50 ohm to drive them right.
I was very surprised at how good the he6se v2 is. It does many things very well. Not the most bass i have heard but one of the lowest extending i have heard, but still plenty! Mids and vocals are a lot more forward and is where this headphone shines. Hifiman headphones are notorious for being bright. These are thankfully not subject to that. Treble is a lot more tame but still very revealing. These also stage very well. Definitely purchase a hifiman comfort strap from capra audio though. The headband is the only real negative. It isn't the most comfortable after about 20 minutes of listening. This is a very power hungry headphone though. You will need a powerful amp to properly drive them.

Wonderful sounding headphone, notorious for difficulty to drive, i have a powerful amp incoming, but for now it’s paired with the fiio k11 r2r, and it sounds great. Sure you need to almost max out the volume (almost) but it still sound very good. The stock cable is weird indeed but sound wise decent, yet it’s only a stop gap. So i’m probably in for a treat when this is paired with a powerful amp and upgraded cable.

Good headphones with modifying potential
Comfort is okay (even without cup swivel) on the v1 / gray version, lackluster on the v2 / blue due to headband not supporting the weight well.

By choosing the black version, you will indeed receive the HE6se v1 with the Sundara crown. I had an Arya Sealth that I returned after cutting the HE6se v1. The dynamics of this headset are enormous but require proper amplification. Lost, I use the EF400 and it's more than enough for me.
For $300 after discount there simply nothing better
